Waimea
I have thought for years about doing this. Not myself, of course, but with the help of a competent, reliable gunsmith like Island Gunsmithing.
Santa Rosa Slinger
Bumping/reviving this thread out of renewed interest in this project which I may or may not have been talking to @LQ Jones about a few months ago... I am contemplating converting my pair of stainless Ruger New Vaqueros (in .357) to 6.5"–7.5" barrels, so I would be interested to know if anybody might have any leads on how to accomplish that! runs with scissors
Slinger, Easiest way would be to take a stainless steel tube slightly bigger in I.D. then the diameter of your barrel and have it welded onto the end of your pistol. I'm sure LQ could do that!
Sixgun Seamus
Just remember, on the 8th day, God and Sam Colt said, "Let all barrels be 7.5 inches or longer."
