@Lassiter, SASS #22846 @mean gun mark can y’all answer this question? I saw @Wilbur G. Rexroat 12515 this weekend in Indiana and he’s doing a BAMM match… I know they do Long Range. It’s a fun match! You’ll enjoy it! I’ll be there, too!!

I've tried several times to get MDs in AZ and other places to do accuracy for derringer and pocket pistol but always meet with resistance. We used to shoot in New England and they always had both.

Looks like a good overview of what's needed, thanks.   What is a Sgt York Match?  I assume 20 rounds from a 1903 or 1917 rifle and 4 magazines from a 1911?

Any limits on the BAMM?  My Canadian friend would probably like to use my SMLE rifle.

What is the SASS Challenge?

Attached are the rules for the BAMM match. It looks like we will not be doing the Sgt. York version this year.  Plans for the SASS Challenge has not been determined at this time. We use it as a fun raiser for the SASS scholarship fund.

Wild Bunch side matches and BAMM, this is getting more interesting.

Why are you skipping the Sgt. York version this year. In Wild Bunch matches, Sgt. York as a sidematch is just 5 in the rifle and a mag of 6 rounds. I was curious to see this setup. I guess it sounds pretty close to a Doughboy category/sidematch.

This match is a lot of fun and you’ll enjoy it!

Teddy Roosevelt and Doughboy are two of the most fun categories in all of SASS.

We are running them as full blown categories in Branson, MO this fall at the Southwest Territorial WB Championship based on popularity.

Teddy Roosevelt is shot like a regular Wild Bunch Stage, with a 1911, Model 12 or '97 Shotgun, and you replace the pistol cal rifle with a Rifle cal lever action designed prior to the end of WWI. Doughboy replaces the pistol cal rifle with a BAMM rifle. Both are suggested to run 5 rounds of rifle a stage, some stages involve a reload pushing TR to 7 rounds and Doughboy to 10 rounds (using stripper clips). This tends to be about the same time as a pistol cal rifle shooting 7-10 rounds depending on target distance. TR and DB targets are generally pushed to 25-30 yards for the rifle.

Sounds like fun.

So...   Use a SMLE and load it with 10 start with?   :P

September 15-17. It's one of the best Wild Bunch matches out there, I would say we are in league with EoT WB, and it will be similar. However they don't have TR and DB categories, and we'll have some new sidematches they won't have. It'll be worth your while!
