Captain Bill Burt
This might work for my daughter. Does it have a short stroke and if so what kind? Any idea on round count and LOP? Barrel length?
Coffin Filler #51633
CBB, Yes it has the short stroke kit installed but cannot recall who supplied it. Barrel is 20". LOP 13. 1/2". It holds 10 rounds.
Captain Bill Burt
Thank you. Do you recall what generation SS it is??
Shifty Jack, SASS #65353
If Colt did his short stroke to it, it would be 3rd Gen links with a cut and welded lever.
Coffin Filler #51633
CBB, I had Colt McA do it, and I just trusted his judgement on which kit to use. Colt McA was doing a lot of work back then and had a good reputation. If it helps, I can post a photo with the lever all the way down. Let me know. Thanks for you interest. Deuce Stevens SASS#55996
Might be able to shed some more light on this rifle. Colt used a combination of links/lifter arm/and cut lever to achieve the shot stroke. He was partial to and used C&I aluminum carriers which this one appears to have. He also coil sprung the extractors as well in the vast majority of guns I saw him do. He was an excellent fast and accurate rifle shooter and set them to perform to his level. Coffin Filler is a good guy and this appears to be a well maintained rifle.

Although it looks like a fine rifle, AND a good deal, I just happened upon one a little closer to what I want for my daughter and closer to home. I'm sure yours will sell quickly! Regards!
