Alpo
I like Annette's video, but Kay Starr's vocals got her beat all to hell.
Wallaby Jack, SASS #44062
from the thread title I thought it had to be a contradiction in terms
Rye Miles #13621
Haven’t ever heard that song. Cute!
Pat Riot
I haven’t heard these before either. I wonder if one or both were the inspiration for Cheap Trick’s “Surrender”? Or at least part of the song.
Tex Jones, SASS 2263
A big hit back in the day.
Subdeacon Joe
I hadn't heard it until a few days ago myself. I was listening to Sirius XM "50s Gold" and it was played. I rather liked it.
Alpo
I looked her up. I thought she was a one hit wonder. She had a string of albums in the 40s and 50s. None of which I'd ever heard of. A whole bunch of singles, and again the only one I've ever heard of was this one. She did sing many songs I'd heard, but when I looked them up, she wasn't the one I knew them by. Example - EVERYBODY'S SOMEBODY'S FOOL. I knew the song, but it was by Connie Francis, not Kay Starr.
