Chili Ron Posted April 23, 2021 Share Posted April 23, 2021 Howdy, I got shot one and made appointment for shot two. A month goes by and I show up at the time. I get about halfway thru the paperwork and Im told I dont have an appointment. WHAT? So I get directed over to a NG with a computer and she looks at me and says We will get you your shot. She clicks on the keyboard for a few second and I go right back in line and I get shot two and head over to the wait area. Later on I wondered if my wearing a sort of military cap might have got me expedited?? After all the national guard is pretty much running the show. So.....even if you think you have all your ducks in a row it might not hurt to wear a little something indicating military. Of course I have Veteran on my DL but she didnt see the DL. The ladies at the clinic where I was doing my exams and things for my broken wrist treated me wonderfully because I was former Navy. The Doc was former Navy. The receptionist was a Navy wife, who I thanked for her service. Supporting a Navy spouse is no picnic. The other lady, medical assistant was former Army. All I did was wear my USS Virginia hat the first time I went there. I just needed to cover up my messy hair and grabbed a hat on the way out the door.
