X Mark
I am looking for a Merwin Hulbert gunsmith for a friend of mine that owns the gun. Any help along these lines would be appreciated. The gun appeared to cycle correctly but it has a replacement part that was made as a "cylinder guard" for the right side of the gun. He would like to have this gun restored since it's a family heirloom. Thank you in advance for helpful hints and assistance. Colorado Coffinmaker
Replacement parts for Merwins are only found on guns someone else already owns.
Springfield Slim SASS #24733
Sounds like he wants the cylinder guard removed and then the gun restored.
Injun Ryder, SASS #36201L
Many years ago, I contacted "Ron's Gun Shop" in Germantown WI about restoration on a M-W. They could do what I wanted but it was a little more than I could handle at that time. https://www.ronsgunshop.com/
