Muley Gil SASS # 57795
If Remington built it, it should be stamped on the tang (under the tangent rear sight). How much does it weigh?

SCJ It may have been polished off when the action was refinished. My first centerfire rifle was a .43 Spanish carbine that had been reblued. There was very little of the tang stamping left.
