Peachey Carnehan
Does anyone have an M1880 knife that they'd be willing to sell, either repro or original? PM me please! Also, alternatively, if anyone has a link to where a repro might be bought, that would also be good. My google-fu failed me.
Two Ponies
Peachey Carnehan Hey pard if you will send me your email address I will send you two pictures (Front and Back) of two knives, which might be something you are looking for. One of the knives it 13 1/2'' and the other is 14.14'' The sheath is home made and one which I made when I was in Rendezvous shooting. One has a bone handle with a brass button on the end and has a hand guard between the handle and the blade. The other one has a hard leather handle with three brass screws on each side. I would have sent pictures, but the system would not allow it or I don't know how to do it. Two Ponies twoponies@ tusher.com
Garrison Joe, SASS #60708
Like this one? https://picclick.com/1880-Us-Army-Hunting-Knife-Scabbard-361988278687.html (a repro) The originals in any reasonable shape seem to go for about $300 and up! http://www.antiques.com/classified/Art--paintings--prints--frames-/Military/Antique-U-S--Indian-War--1880-Army-Issue-Hunting-Knife--Springfield-Arsenal Is one that still might be available. Good luck, GJ

Keep an eye out there Thanks- I've been able to find originals that are definitely up there in price, but the repros have proven a little more difficult to find without being out of stock. Thanks- I wish it were closer to the 1880, but the profile and handle have some differences. I appreciate the tip!

smokedawg SASS#60968
I would shoot Jerry Lee AKA "What Price Glory" an email. Ask him if he would do a repro. He has been doing a ton of Indian War era stuff...hopefully one is in the works.
