Red Cent Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Do you know where your keys are? https://www.foxnews.com/health/man-dies-from-extremely-rare-disease-after-eating-squirrel-brains Grandma Hart made fine squirrel dumplins with squirrel brains.
Hillbilly Drifter Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Ain’t eating no squirrel brains here. I might be a hillbilly but I gots my wits about me. Now where are my dang keys........
Pat Riot Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 I grew up in PA hillbilly country. SW corner, 12 miles from the Mason-Dixon Line. We hunted and ate squirrels but would never think of eating the brain. That’s just weird.
Pat Riot Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 PS: What des a story from New York have to do with West Virginians? Or is WV’ns code for weird New York Staters?
Hillbilly Drifter Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 I think Red Cent was playing on his roots
Father Kit Cool Gun Garth Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Maybe he believed his coffee mug?
grenadier Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 I’ve known old people to eat them but no one who doesn’t remember Pearl Harbor being attacked.
The Bearded Wonder Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 I must have been doing something wrong because I always used a 22 and never tried to salvage that particular part as it was torn up a bit by the 22.
Happy Jack, SASS #20451 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Ate lots of squirrel brains when I was a kid growing up in West (by God smile when you say it) Virginia. Ate lots of other things also. Possum, skunk, ground hog, etc. etc.
