.32-20 rifles.

A few weeks ago, I asked about revolvers in .32-20 other than the Colt.   The basic response was other than the Ruger, the Colt was (is) pretty much it.

Fair enough.

But what about rifles?

I've got a 73, a '92 and Colt Lightning in this caliber.   I assume Marlin chambered something for it, but I don't know what.   Anybody else ever do so back in the day?   Talking things that would be SASS okay only.

I've got two Marlin 1894s in 32WCF.  Both are old, first issue models.  5abe9bd41c892_739294March2018.jpg.e76360ff8a712ad1c5572c6b4a923d35.jpg

The Marlin 1894 32WCF is on the bottom.  597bddacbc3f8_Marlin189432WCFJuly2017.jpg.1cc52b168aef5998590bdb7c97a064c2.jpg

The other is a Marlin 1894 SRC in 32WCF.  It was made in 1900.

Marlin did make some 1894s in more recent years but I think all had short magazine and wouldn't hold 10.

25-20 is also legal for SASS.  I shot my first match with a Marlin 1894 in 25-20.

Howdy H. K.

I picked up this real nice 32-20 Model 1892 last year. Made in 1911.

The dealer kept trying to tell me the blue is all worn off the frame because it was carried in the woods a lot, even though the blue is real nice on the barrel and magazine.

Hogwash. The barrel and magazine have been refinished. You can see how some of the markings have been buffed away on the barrel.

I think the wood has been refinished too. It's real nice except for this divot out of the fore end. Other than that the wood is real nice.

Notice how much more worn the finish is on the magazine hanger than the barrel or magazine.

I don't care one way or the other, the bore and rifling are bright like new, and it is a real tack driver.

I have an identical pair of Black Powder framed, Bullseye ejector, short barreled Single Action 32-20 WCF guns built by Uberti. One is from EMF in Santa Ana Calif and the other is imported by Cimarron Arms. Same Color Cased frames and one piece wood grips. I don't know it they still import these in this caliber as I've had them for a long time (mid-late 1990's).  Just sayin'

Also catalogued at one time, maybe still available.

The more recent Marlin 32-20 CL did indeed have a short magazine. But I remember several who shot them around 1999-2000 replaced the tube with one from a 357 model and used them that way.
