Randingo Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 When loading for Frontiersman, is powder, ball and cap all done at the loading table or can powder and ball be done elsewhere? Thanks!!
Blackwater 53393 Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Capping is restricted to the loading table only. You may charge your cylinders anywhere that you can point the pistol safely. Bring your capping equipment and caps to the loading table to be observed, same as loading cartridge guns.
Yusta B. Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Can be done anywhere - of course no sweeping, etc. Capped only at loading table.
Assassin Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Randingo, you probably shoot with El Pueblo. Ask him questions about Frontiersman. He's been shooting a long time and will make time to help a newer shooter. He might even bring you up to Briggsdale or Cheyenne to shoot.

Will look him up. Thanks!!!!!
Tucker McNeely Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 You will prep the cylinders at either the unloading area if range design permits or at your cart area. By SASS rules the C&B pistols aren't loaded until they are capped. You can only cap them at the loading table as normal folks do or if you are really after the clean match you can load and cap a chamber on the line under supervision of the TO.
