Trigger Mike Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 do they make ammo pouches that fit on the stock for the small 22 single shot rifles like they do for shotguns and hunting rifles?
Chili Ron Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Howdy, I bet Red Cent would give it a good try. He is on the forum often and was very nice helpin me with a holster for Cris. Best CR
Trigger Mike Posted December 3, 2015 Author Posted December 3, 2015 just thought it would make it easier for the child to reload or me even if a pouch was on the stock. might make it a good home defense weapon then in case we are ever denied weapons that can shoot more than one bullet.
Cat Brules Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 For a kid, such an ammo pouch attached to the rifle stock might interfere with the child's proper handling of the rifle. Such distractions lead to secondary issues, such as safety problems. Maybe later, if the kid thinks it's a good idea...... A simple regimen, where the kid pulls each round, each time, from a box away from the rifle....
Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Having been there - training my son with a Chipmunk - I'm inclined to agree with Cat. It is what it is... a single-shot, training rifle. Bigger and faster stuff comes later, after the basics are well learned.
Trigger Mike Posted December 3, 2015 Author Posted December 3, 2015 after thinking about it i have to agree.
Noz Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 On the different world we lived in then, I carried my extra ammunition in my mouth. 10 rounds between cheek and gum.
