Subdeacon Joe
Great find, Bob. Thanks for posting the link.I still say the CSS Hunley was a federal plot. Took out three crews and the boat against one dead and one ship sunk. Not a good ratio.
Tom Bullweed
I visited the Hunley museum in North Charleston three years ago. They had a to-scale model that you could sit in and get some idea of the confinement. These guys were tough.

Utah Bob #35998
Great find, Bob. Thanks for posting the link. I still say the CSS Hunley was a federal plot. Took out three crews and the boat against one dead and one ship sunk. Not a good ratio. I have long thought that if the Hunley had been devised and constructed in the industrial North it would have bern more successful and advanced the concept of submarine warfare by decades.
