My New Winchester 1873 In 44-40

I've had a 1873 Winchester on order from my LGS for nearly 18 months and have no idea when they'll come through. Late in December I saw that Barleycorn Outfitters had some 1873 Winchesters built by Miroku in 44-40. I would have been happy with one with a blued receiver and round barrel, but I decided to take what I could get and man am I glad I did. John Barleycorn was not joking when he said that these were nice rifles. Being a woodworker I appreciate beautiful wood and this rifle has some of the prettiest walnut that I've ever seen on one of these. Now, because it's so nice I don't know if I want to shoot it or not. A dilemma I'm not used to having.

That's fantastic, but if you don't want to shoot it, I'll take her off your hands for you :)

I've been planning to get one as well, but I just scored an uberti so I'll have that to tie me over until they're more readily available. In the meantime, I want to hear all about yours.

I've tried to post pictures but PB is not co-operating tonight.
