Subdeacon Joe
From almost a year ago. Still interesting. http://en.rian.ru/russia/20120307/171825666.html Priests with the Russian Airborne Troops will take a crash course next week to operate the world’s only paradrop Orthodox Christian church, the military said. The one-week course for the priests, many of whom are experienced paratroopers with more than 500 jumps, will take place at an airborne troops facility in Ryazan region in central Russia, a Defense Ministry spokeswoman said on Tuesday. Utah Bob #35998
I suspect this is a rope dope drop, not a free fall. That would be spectacular though! Nothing funnier than a heavy equipment drop that goes wrong.

Charlie Harley, #14153
The chaplain at Fort Benning was very proud of his time at the 82nd. He had a zillion Biblical references where he blended Airborne swagger with God's lessons.

Utah Bob #35998
I always found that rather than counting "one thousand, two thousand, three thousand, four thousand" a good hearty scream lasted the same amount of time. Then I would check my canopy and proceed to the ground In a dignified fashion.
