Pulp, SASS#28319
It's actually a cork boring tool, use to bore various sized holes through cork stoppers. I'm gonna use it for cutting wadding for cap and ball revolvers, .410 wadding, maybe 20 gauge, I haven't measured the largest bit yet. We were cleaning out some old storage cabinets in the lab when I found it. I asked the boss if I could keep it, he said "Sure, it's obvious it's never been used here." It was either I take it home, or it found a home in the landfill.
Old Scatterbrain
Wouldn't boring a hole through a stopper, render the stopper useless?
