Chili Ron
Howdy, I had a similar curiosity about real colts last year. I posted a request to try colts in my area and a pard emailed me and we met at a gun club and I got to try my Rugers and his Colts side by side with the same ammo etc. Now my rugers are three screws tuned by coyote cap and most folks say 'wow' when they try em. these are shootin guns not collectible until Im done shootin em. So you might try before you buy. There could be someone in your area who would let you shoot a few rounds in their colts. And, no I didnt buy any colts. His werent for sale at that time. LawMan Mark, SASS #57095L
I already have an engraved pair of matched Colts, in .45 Colt, with one piece ivory stocks. I also have Rugers and Ubertis. I want a pair of Colts in .44-40 (.44 WCF for purists)...which is my favorite cowboy caliber. I have a pair of Rugers in that caliber already. I left "need" in the dust long ago...it's just "want" now :)

shenny
No down grade to Sixgun Shorty, but try "Shotgun News" & "Gunlist". There are some in there for sale. You may have to wait for used 44WCF's.
