Preacher Clint
Need to know if you can shoot the 44 Russian cartridges in the 44 Special 1873 Uberti Rifle?
Colorado Coffinmaker
No. Not a stock one anyway. The round is too short and will allow two rounds into the Carrier Block at the same time, jamming the rifle. You can however, order a neat Carrier Block from Adirondack Jack with a spring loaded cartridge stop that will allow you to shoot .44 Russian cases. Nate Kiowa Jones #6765
Need to know if you can shoot the 44 Russian cartridges in the 44 Special 1873 Uberti Rifle? If you are handloading set the bullet out to about 1.5" OAL and it will work.

Coffinmaker That is what I have in my 66 and it's slicker than deer guts on a doorknob.
Rex M Rugers #6621
One day while sittig around thinking (danger , danger) I stuck a couple of rounds in my Marlin to see if they would feed. Seriously stupid , bad idea. Had to take the rifle apart to clear that jam. Good lesson , though , haven't tried it again. Rex
