New SASS website update

Finally they updated the SASS site

Yes, within the Administrative side of the IP Forum software, these are the basic standard maintenance steps that were performed - as are in all the other board software programs

* Optimize all tables to improve performance.

* Check all files against current versions. (This is a To Do. The SASS Forum is running under version 2.3.5. The update will be to version 3)

* Find and repair any errors.

* Recount all forum totals and statistics.

* Empty out unimportant logs.

These maintenance routines should be run frequently to maintain a smooth running board. Plus the software backed up weekly!

Except for the 'Check all files against current versions', the total time to run the other maintenance steps above takes less than 10 minutes!

Why it had to be finally done by Matt Kohutics ( http://yourhost.com/ ) in Las Vegas, NV boggles my mind. All routines could have been done a long time ago at the SASS Office or remotely by the Forum Administrator or anyone else, provided they have Administrative logon rights to the software. Normal protocol is the owners of a given board have at least Two Administrators that perform these functions frequently, not an outside party ... http://yourhost.com/

To update the software from version 2.3.5 to version 3 will take less than One Hour!. The process is to download from http://www.invisionpower.com/business/deployment.php possible needed sequential versions (if the software is not maintained up to date with the current versions as is the SASS Forum) or the latest version to the host server. The update program runs 'automatically'. Just like any download update that you have on your home computer. A very simple process
