Lead by example - I have an MCPO to thank for instilling that trait in me.

Very good parade, the difference in Army uniforms since 1775 was represented well & all of the different regiments/divisions. I would have liked to have seen more of the units and army bands w/o the constant commentary. Crowd seemed sparse in areas but a patriotic crowd non the less. Last parade that I took part in was Veteran's Day 1987 in service dress blues down to the spitshine oxfords (never liked the corframs) - some people were whining about the heat and winter blues in Az. That came to an abrupt stop when our Master Chief told us to STFU & pointed out a WW1 vet in his full wool uniform marching the entire parade route until he got to the reviewing stand and then took the salute of the marching units behind him at the request of the officials present.

We have Burro Creek bridge in Az but it was built in 1966 ----Burro Creek 1966 Bridge - HighestBridges.com The engineer setting that final bridge section in place probably 'clanged' when he walked thru town --- incredible engineering from 1895 --- thank you for posting about it....

Which matches are "lost brass" matches in 2025?
Dr. Zook replied to Nostrum Damus SASS #110702's topic in SASS Wire
Would it be approriate for a green horn to make a suggestion? How many SASS shooters mark their brass? If you weren't taking your last reload brass before it hits the scrap bucket to a "lost brass match" - would it be worthwhile to mark your good brass with a sharpie casemarker & give the scouts a heads up that it is "your brass", so that when they collect and sort, they can cull out your marked casings and you can then pick them up at end of the matches? Maybe a little higher scout jamboree donation $ in exchange to get your own brass back? I am not good at new art of computer printed accessories but that might be an idea for someone with the talent to build and sell to their fellow SASS member? -
two questions Sir, #1 Was it during Covid while wearing a mask #2 Did you stop by the bank on your way home from a SASS match still in period attire? 🤣

Very Very well put together!!! --- The Civil war was something I studied and tried to get to the major battlefields during summer vacation trips ---- hopefully after I retire, i'll be able to get to them again... I worked with a FF Bushong here in Phx, I'll have to reach out to him after seeing his surname on the New Market farm & see if he even knows about it or is related somehow along the way to the family... -
@H. K. Uriah, SASS #74619 Thank you --- I had a set of Ruger MkII target grips with thumb rest & ultimately switched back to original slab side walnut grips...
