  1. If you can obtain a letter from a medical professional stating that a padded glove is necessary to safely participate in SASS/WBAS events, any Match Director will grant an exception to allow you to wear one.
  2. Bending that lever has been a SASS-legal modification for many years. SHB p.39 The manufacturer of the one in question submitted his design for ROC approval just to make certain that it was legal for SASS use.
  3. @runs with scissors The ROC has ruled that the grips in question are NOT LEGAL for the following reasons: It is considered a “target” grip..." due to the sole purpose of the "bump" being to position the trigger finger on one side. "it helps me keep my trigger finger from extending too far through the triggerguard" It differs significantly from Eagle "Gunfighter" grips in that, rather than adding material to the basic grip, Eagle grips thin the lower part. Also...the rear view looks nothing like the same basic shape as grips or stocks found on original firearms. The "bump" extends significantly beyond the upper portion of the grip frame.
  4. These are the rules that will be considered regarding the legality of this grip modification: SHB p.34
  5. FWIW...that is NOT the reason I usually use pre-loaded cylinders when shooting my Remington revolvers.
  6. I only use one set of matching revolvers with multiple cylinders when shooting Plainsman or Frontiersman. Carry a spare set (same brand) for backup "just in case". Most of the extra cylinders are stainless which makes cleanup MUCH easier.
  7. Actually, one club (polled via email to the club president) came close to a Yes/No tie on two of the items. Further clarifying discussion swung the majority. The two at which I was able to present in person were both unanimous across the board.
  8. Under the SASS definition quoted by FWR...YES...it is.
  9. Yes...multiple pre-loaded percussion cylinders (and cartridge convertors) for both Pietta and Uberti Remington NMA revolvers. ...and, YES, I have multiple pairs of each.
  10. FYI...I been hangin' around this Saloon for a mite longer than yerowndangself (Alpo's got me beat by 5 days)...bein' a "semi-reformed" outlaw, my curiosity regardin' the details of the theoretical inquiry got the better of me.
  11. Does your membership card have an expiration date? Renew before it expires. https://sassnet.com/connect/contact-us
  12. 3. Remove the subjective verbiage regarding "blocks" from the lever wrap allowance: Levers may be wrapped or padded with leather or faux leather. or other natural material. - Filler “blocks” or other such mechanisms designed to prevent all or drastically limit movement of the fingers within the lever loop are not allowed. Leather includes suede, faux leather would include anything that looks like leather. SHB p.36
  13. This is a good place to start looking: True Gun Value Also "Blue Book of Gun Values"
  14. I got a passport card in 2013 in order to go to Canada for PAL classes. Used it once since then (2019) to certify an RO Instructor. It expired a year ago...on-line renewal has been down...need to make an appointment at the local PO I guess. Didn't need one for a trip to Puerto Vallarta back in 1984.
  15. Alpo...what the heck did you do to warrant a USPS trace put on your name??
  16. You might consider checking club listings in the Cowboy Chronicle or on the SASS website for non-USA club contacts. Most have contact phone numbers and/or website links with email addresses.
  17. I would be more concerned regarding how they obtained the letter from Joe.
  18. Contact your TG and ask why not. Nobody here can answer that question.
  19. IMO... Allowing a shooter to continue "for no score" puts a club at risk in the event that another safety violation results in an injury or property damage. Failure to comply with SASS rules at any match level could result in nullification of liability insurance coverage. Requirements for Club Affiliation - Maintain no less than 50% of the club’s total members/membership in SASS® - Conduct all matches/competitions in compliance with the SASS® Shooters Handbook ... - Provide proof of liability insurance for the club/range/activities SHB p.22
  20. I've had the same PO box at a nearby city for almost 50 years. Always "interpreted" the section of the regulation prohibiting "for other than official purposes" to not apply when I was picking up mail from the box for which I pay rent to use. That is my "official purpose" whether carrying concealed inside or parking on the property with firearms in my vehicle.
  21. Post them for sale in the Classifieds and see if anyone buys them.
  22. "It’s official: the State Defendants-Appellants have filed a notice of appeal. We anticipate the motion to put Measure 114 into effect during the appeal to be forthcoming… imminently." FB notice from our attorney.
