  1. This is the list I use. Randy Shooter's Checklist.pdf
  2. I would say because it’s a receiver site not a tang site? Randy
  3. Mongo, I have not had this problem but I use a cheap aquarium pump on my powder bottle to keep the powder from bridging. Randy
  4. Johnny, if you don't mind sharing I'd love to have the info on how to properly fit a long gun. I see ladies all the time struggling with guns that are too long for them.

    Thanks

    Randy

  5. It is perfect, I used them today and they were exactly what I wanted. Thanks again for a great product. Randy
  6. My loading blocks came in yesterday and Missouri Marshal told me before I ordered them it would be a couple of weeks or so before he could get to them. He was right on time and they were great as I knew they would be. I put the check for them in the mail this morning. I now have 12 so I should be set for a while. Thanks again for a great product and great service. Randy
  7. I emailed Missouri Marshal and placed a reorder for 7 more of these Loading Blocks, quality is great and I really like the convenience at the Loading Table. I have had these for 3 and a half years and the only problem I've had is that I managed to lose one. Great product and great price. Thanks Randy
  8. I just got to use my loading blocks this weekend and I want to thank you for a great product at a reasonable price. Thanks Randy
  9. I use Hornady One Shot when I go to EOT but after reading this I may use it all the time. Randy

  11. I saw the post about not disabling your safety, I originally made mine a manual safety where I could still use it. At the Tennessee State Championship on a stage where you had to shoot 4 and move to another location to shoot the  final 2, I accidentally engaged the safety and it took me several seconds to realize what I'd done. About 3 months later we shot the same stage and I did the same thing again, since I only use this shotgun to shoot CAS matches the safety is now dissabled. It takes my brain to long to kick in and realize what I'd done so I preferred to make sure it couldn't happen again. My 2 most used '73 rifles also have the safety notch (half cock) ground off so there is no chance of accidentally leaving it at halfcock at the loading table.

    Enjoy

    Randy

  12. Al, if they are for a Bisley and someone hasn't spoken for them I'll take the 2 pair for $60 shipped

    Thanks

    Randy

  13. +1, I started painting my sights gold before switching to Slick's, would be hard to go back to anything else now. Randy
  14. They are at my FFL but I haven't picked them up yet. I shoot Ruger Bisleys but I just wanted to see what these are like. Thanks Randy
  15. Power Factor only matters in smokeless categories. Black powder rounds in black powder categories have to meet the Smoke Standard. BLACKPOWDER CATEGORIES It is expected the blackpowder competitor shall contend with smoke obscured targets. To ensure this, all shotgun, revolver, and rifle powder charges must produce smoke at least equivalent to a baseline load of 15 grains by volume (1 cc) of ffg blackpowder. And of course the load you mentioned would meet the Smoke Standard every time. Randy
  16. Welcome to the addiction. Randy
  17. I bought a pair at that time, one of these days I'll get around to shooting them. At the time I thought it was too good of a price to pass up. Randy
  18. Charlie may not be checking this thread as he said he'd been doing a lot of traveling and didn't have access on the road but I bought these. Thanks Randy
  19. I rarely shoot a Marlin anymore but when I did I always used the same 200gr. load I used in my revolvers. Randy
  20. I hope it's not I don't like to go to Wally World. Randy
  21. You might find a Charles Daly 500 in that price range, they were made by Miroku, the same folks that made SKB and BSS. Randy
