Brady Hawkes, Gambler Style
Missouri Marshal SASS #50682 replied to H. K. Uriah, SASS #74619's topic in SASS Wire
When I first started shooting CAS, we used to use derringers to start the stage, off the clock. Since most people are unfamiliar with derringers we stopped doing it. It was a safety concern that someone could extend their finger past the muzzle and shoot their finger. -
Bluetooth hearing protection
Missouri Marshal SASS #50682 replied to Missouri Marshal SASS #50682's topic in SASS Wire
Thanks Wyatt, I just ordered a pair. Hope you are not buried in snow. -
Does anyone use the bluetooth hearing protection? I see several brands and I'm interested in them. Do they really work? If you use them, which ones do you like? I don't want any with the cords/wires.

My condolences. So Sad. He looks a lot like my Bob. We lost Bob's brother, Tom, last year. He was only two. It was really hard for me and Trina.

No turkey for Thanksgiving?
Missouri Marshal SASS #50682 replied to Rye Miles #13621's topic in SASS Wire Saloon
WaWA Turkey bowl. We love them! -
I got 1000 Large rifle when I couldn't find anything else. They go bang BUT they are very hard to seat. I broke one of my Lee bench primers trying to seat them. They were also very hard to seat using a single stage press. I would never buy them again.

APP loads for .38 Sp ?
Missouri Marshal SASS #50682 replied to Ike the butcher Tuckerson's topic in SASS Wire
I've been loading my .38s with 11gr ( by weight) APP 3F for years without any filler with no problems. I use the same load for both 105gr (pistols) and 158gr (rifle). Works great for me, I don't have to adjust the powder charge when switching between loading rifle and pistol. -
I have 2 of these, lots of fun when you can't shoot the real things. Very realistic.
-
.32 S&W, don't know what model. Supposed to be factory engraved. The grips are factory too. I was told they are very rare and probably worth more than the pistol.
-
makes the rifle easier to load, especially during cold weather.

My favorite BAM rifle is a Swedish 6.5X55mm Mauser. It is cock on close, uses the same stripper clips as a 30-06 (easy to find) and is very accurate. As far as lead bullets, Missouri Bullet Co sells one they call the Russian, made for Mosins. It is 167gr, groove less Hy-Tec 2 coated bullet with a brinell of 20. It is sized at .312 so it should work in the .303

Does Vixn Targets have a web site? I can't find it. Does anyone have a link?

Anyone ever heard of it?

Henry 22 vs Rossi Rio Bravo 22
Missouri Marshal SASS #50682 replied to 4 Mile Drifter's topic in SASS Wire
I don't know anything about the Rossi but the Henry is a great gun. Accurate and smooth as butter right out of the box.
