  1. If you know someone that has or you have a Shield EZ check out this notice from Smith & Wesson regarding a recall due to a hammer issue. I saw this in another forum and thought I should post it here as I recall a few folks here talking about these pistols. https://www.mpshieldezrecall.com

  4. I’ve seen tung oil for sale at the major hardware stores like Lowe’s, Home Depot, Ace, and at lumber yards. I bet you can find locally.

  5. Doing all the steps, I applied 15 coats of tung/boiled linseed oils on a Remington M12 resulting with a finish that looked like glass. Am a fan also using burnt umber to darken the wood

  6. https://www.milkpaint.com/product/hopes-tung-oil <- you can get it at Amazon too. Fill with pores with egg whites. Rub it on with your fingers, let it dry. Lightly sand it with 320 or 400 grit sand paper, follow with cheesecloth to remove any dust. Repeat 1-2 times Apply tung oil Hand rub on liberally(you can use latex if desired). Wait fifteen minutes and wipe off excess with a rag; make sure there are no drip like spots or pools. Hang it up and let dry for at least 2 weeks(4 weeks is better). Lightly sand it with 320-400 gr

  8. For practice in my garage, I have sets of .38 fast draw wax brass that use LP primers, but those aren't getting used again until this primer shortage is over.

  9. Pat, Thanks for the heads up. I had to check my EZ9 but I’m safe. Wyoma, It is easier to rack the slide and also load the magazine. They have tabs on the follower that allow you to pull it down with you off hand so you don’t have to force the stack of shells down to accept another round. CJ

  10. Ever seen those bug aSALT guns? Kill flies with them from 1 to 2 ft away with salt. Well this is the MAN version of that. If you get a wasp in yer house, you can take care of them with this and not worry about blowing holes in yer wall or floor. 22 cal bird/snake shot will embed itself in yer nice new hardwood floor. Ask me how I know. As far as why I had them fixed up that way to begin with is indoor practice. Shooting in your man cave is fun...

  14. An interesting bit of information is my forebearers carried our revolvers in cross draw holsters. So did those of our hands that owned a gun. Most riders did that. I still do that. My only exception is a shoulder holster while elk and deer hunting. ASFAIK, only Hollywood depicted cowpersons with same side holsters.
