Subdeacon Joe Posted September 15, 2024 Posted September 15, 2024 The implied idea that nuclear weapons could be as common among the citizenry is ludicrous at best. Not the least because they are expensive. Anyone with evil intentions and with the means of obtaining them will eventually obtain one. That's why governments hold those secrets close to the vest and have layers upon layers of security on the devices.

Rip Snorter Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 Some internet years (decades?) back, there was actually a plan for a small nuke posted. Don't recall what happened, but great consternation at the time, and I don't believe anyone built one.
irish ike, SASS #43615 Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 Peterson is an interesting person. Professor of Psychology and practicing Psychologist. The Canadian Gov. wanted to pass a law making it illegal to not use someones correct pronouns!. Peterson fought it on two levels. 1. it was "required speech" compromising ones freedom of speech. 2. the other was based on people with pronouns and 5 genders were mentally ill and should seek help. He was tossed out of his university. And the Gov. threatened to take his license to practice away. His efforts caused the Bill not to be passed. He is a conservative and very outspoken about government over reach.
