I still pay through the bank. the more i think about this the more interested i get in investigating it at my bank , at least fr some things , i still dont think ill just give the biller carte blanch access to my account , i do kinda like monitoring what im being billed each month tho irregularities do occur , i just dont want something crazy to happen and not catch it right away ,
Badlands Bob #61228 Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 I have several monthly bills set up with auto pay through a Visa card that pays me 2% cash back. Nothing is auto paid from my checking account. If something goes wrong with auto pay, I have chargeback options with a Visa. I'm a Boomer and I use this new fangled computer stuff, but I don't necessarily trust it.
punxsutawneypete Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 As a card carrying Luddite, I don't trust completely what I put on a computer screen myself. I have to print it out and review it in hand. My concession to the whiz-bang stuff is sending payments on line, only because the post office got a payment late that I had sent two weeks before the due date.
Cold Lake Kid, SASS # 51474 Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 I'm trying to keep my financials out of the "modern" electronic way of doing business. Had a couple go sideways a few years ago and it took months to get them resolved. Never Again.
