ORNERY OAF Posted May 1 Share Posted May 1 Gents, Got a gem for ya here, beautiful(for its age) 38 snub nose, 6 shot looks like a pre-something,maybe someone here will know more. Got some holster wear. Had it for years, old detective sold it to me when I joined the PD years ago. Came with crappy grips so I bought these replacements so I could at least carry it a few times. Shot it a couple times, shoots real nice. I think it was carried by Wojohowitz or Fish .....testing your age. Tried to look up the ser#, I think, it's is an early 50s maybe 50 or 52...old beauty has to go, $600 plus shipping conus.. First "I will take it " beats all others as usual. S&W collectors would call that a "fish hook hammer" and since it has the short action adopted in 1948, it could be called a pre Model 10.
