Sgt. C.J. Sabre, SASS #46770 Posted March 26, 2024 Posted March 26, 2024 You said in the New .22 thread: There’s a line from a show that I cannot remember the name of right now that made me laugh to myself, but was very poignant. A main character was dying. His friend says “You shouldn’t die alone.” The main character responded “We all die alone.” I also remember this scene, but not what it is from. Now I'll be sitting here ALL DAY trying to remember it. I want to say it's from an episode of "Firefly", but I'm not sure. Maybe it was from "Outlaw Josey Wales"? When the kid died?
Pat Riot Posted March 26, 2024 Posted March 26, 2024 I have been thinking about it all day. I cannot remember.

Pat Riot Posted March 26, 2024 Posted March 26, 2024 Thanks Kit. That’s one, but there is another. The one that the guy says “We all die alone”. I am thinking it was a sci fi series or flick.
Pat Riot Posted March 26, 2024 Posted March 26, 2024 Of course when I look up “We all die alone” I keep getting stuff about a band and a movie of the same title.

I am thinking it was a sci fi series or flick. The original quote comes from the book, The Children of Men by P.D. James, “We all die alone. We shall endure death as once we endured birth. You can’t share either experience." https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/1470813-we-all-die-alone-we-shall-endure-death-as-once The book was made into a movie released in 2006 On a side note: Orson Welles added a similar quote to the script written by Henry Jaglom for the movie Someone to Love: "We're born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we're not alone."
