Forty Rod SASS 3935
Ah, yes! The 1960s era Short Wheel Base Berlinetta. Under 200 horse power V-12, about 2400 pounds, body designed by Pininfarina and build by Scaglietti. This was my dream car in my final year of high school and for many years after. That and a D-Jag and Lotus Eleven would have filled my triple play nicely. The Lotus was the only one I ever got to drive and the guy who owned it charged me $50.00 and rode shotgun with me for one lap at a vintage race at Riverside in 1955.
