Michael Cieslak Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Looking for suggestions on slicking up a Miroku 1873 357 for cowboy matches. Who might you all suggest to do the work?
Toranado, SASS # 58447 Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 The expert on those is Cowboy Carty. Done two for me now
Edward R S Canby, SASS#59971 Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 MC, I'm shooting a Miroku that Longhunters worked on. You can handle it at a local match if you like.
John Kloehr Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 No recommendation for a smith, as I'm going to do my own. This post is to provide info on what is involved in the job. Besides the general outline in the link below, my specific issues are the lever safety spring and the bolt is a bit tight (thanks to another 'pard for having me check it). My Miroku is chambered in 44-40. I ordered at least one of every available aftermarket lever safety spring. I was going to do the work last winter... Now maybe next winter. Anyway, no one seems to know what happened to Marvin The Martian, but here is a thread showing what is involved:
Irish Pat Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 I sent two to cody Conagher and well pleased he used the. Original parts and is fast
Marshal Chance Morgun Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 Any of the three mentioned will do a great job for you.
