Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984
Everything scrappable was recycled. All the lead paint was scraped off and dumped as was the asbestos and anything else remotely toxic When the ships were buried at sea after the Bikini Atoll tests I think only the oils were removed. One day the O might be valued as a source of prenuclear steel.

In addition to becoming an artificial reef it will be an excellent sport diving attraction.

Ozark Shark
http://www.niuhidivecharters.com/oriskany-dive.html With the bottom at 215 feet, this looks like an interesting dive site. Definitely not for the novice.
