Boomstick Bruce
who uses a bullet feeder die set up with the tubes and loads lead bullets for 45colt on a hornady lock n load press? I have seen videos saying it can be made to work but I want someone elses experience before I go trying it
LostVaquero
Not used Hornady but the mini bullet feeder from double alpha has worked well for poly coated bullets for 45 cap and LC. I have also used them for poly coated 38s, 357s, 9mm, 38 super and for loading 30 cal rifle.
Snake-eye, SASS#45097
I use one for 38's. Works well with coated bullets. With lubed bullets I put a metal rod in the tube on top of the bullets to help push them thru. The wax lube tends to make them hang up with out some extra help. Sedalia Dave
Coated bullets will probable work OK. Conventionally lubed ones will likely gum up the works.
Roscoe Regulator
I shelved my Hornady die and now use the Mr Bullet Feeder die very satisfactorily. I did get another Bully adapter to match the die. I use the four tube Bully Adapter rig using a Lee tube set.
Procedural Pete
It worked, but not well. Coated bullets are the key.
