Charlie T Waite
The Detroit City Council approved a "Bullet Bill" gun control resolution Wednesday with a unanimous vote. The resolution limits ammunition amounts that can be bought while requiring a mental health background check on buyers of ammo in Wayne County. Commissioner Reggie Reg Davis of the 6th district spearheaded the resolution. Link to comment
Blackwater 53393
The purpose is to circumvent the Second Amendment by controlling ammunition! All the more reason to reload!!! Link to comment

Outrider Outlaw
There are more communities in Wayne county than Detroit. I'm not sure how a Detroit City Council bill could regulate sales in other Wayne county communities. Link to comment
Lawdog Dago Dom
"Feel good" legislation at best. One town in Illinois tried to raise the age to buy tobacco to 21. Others pointed out that those under 21 could drive across the river to a neighboring town (half mile away) and buy all they wanted. Ya just can't fix stupid. But it can be elected. Link to comment
Gunner Gatlin, SASS 10274L
This legislation does nothing to solve the issue of the violence culture that has plagued these communities. Stupid. https://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/detroit/2018/12/03/holidays-cold-increase-crime/2190038002/ Just stock up on ammo - buy from the other counties and support them with your retail $$$. They say they are coming to Lansing - well, not while we have a Republican legislature and Supreme Court majority, Our Majority Leader in the Senate Arlan Meekof is a STRONG 2nd Amendment advocate.
