If you are unaware of what your blood sugar should be for varying conditions it might be time to find a new doctor.

but I only drank 4 swallows of the grape juice, just enough to swallow the cheese down.   i noticed last night i just ate some cheese and water and 2 hours later at midnight it was 260 but just below 200 this morning.

That's your liver doing that.  Your blood sugar has been elevated for so long that your liver is trying to keep the levels up.  Give it some time of doing things right and it will settle down.  It's especially bad first thing in the morning.  It's called a dawn response and is part of what makes us wake up.

Mike you have me seriously worried about you. PLEASE go see an an endocrinologist(sp). forget your DR he's  not helping you....period!!!!

When I saw your numbers and you "remedies" i was / am sincerely concerned. You need to avg around 150 to keep the dogs at bay.

Do you even know your A1C as that's the key more than what your daily numbers are.

An endo DR will advise about diet, food consumption, and will prescribe better meds than any GP can.

ALSO please see your eye DR as you may be losing your sight as we speak. I lost the vision in one eye last year due to diabetes.

Your eyes may be bleeding internally and you won't even know it, and again forget the eye docs at Walmart or Target,

find an ophthalmologist and have eye scans done. BEFORE you end up like me, several surgeries, replaced lenses, and monthly eye injections.

PLEASE before you lose an eye or a foot or worse,  get some help....PLEASE!!!

my A1C was right below 7 last test I took.  I was supposed to take another test and doctor visit in november but my 1700 a month premium health plan stopped paying for doctor visits as the limit was reached.  this year i am paying 2500 a month but still have limited doctor visits.  i may be better off self insuring.

last night's number was a hair better at 225 at midnight but this morning at 151.  i had not kept up with it thinking i was fine until i felt like they were off Sunday night.  Ive adjusted my diet to more protein much fewer carbs and no juice just some fruit when the numbers are lower and more black coffee.  a deacons wife in the church I pastor said the endocrinologist our doctor referred her too is an hour and a half away and she was not pleased with him (she is a dietician for nursing homes by trade) so she is looking for another one that seems better so I will get with her on what she found.  i am an hour and a half from two decent sized cities so healthcare is lacking in some areas even though we have a small hospital.

I'm making adjustments and keeping a better watch on my numbers ad drinking a lot more water.  nurse did tell me the farxiga should help given enough time

the deacon's wife who is also diabetic said she has not found a satisfactory diabetic specialist but that is partly because she does not want to drive to Macon, GA an hour and half away mostly on a interstate with few exits but has a friend who uses one in Macon and will get me his number as I don't mind Macon.  She wants one in Savannah

you all have been real helpful.  Last night after a long week of each night my numbers being above 235 up to 265 at midnight they went to 181 at midnight.  today they were 135 before breakfast, back to 195 or more this afternoon, but down to 93 before supper.
