Found one. Wanted antique shotgun

I'm looking for an old, pre-1899 sxs shotgun with hammers that work.  The gun needs to be able to stand up to handling.  It does not need to be able to shoot. Either cartridge or percussion is ok. This is for an Old West Museum that I volunteer to do tours at. So either free or cheap.  Let me know what you have.

If you want to see what the museum looks like try this link. Museum of the Mountain West

Found one. Thanks for the responses.

I do not have that weapon at this time, but I have noted this posting and will keep an eye out for one. But let me add that I think what you are doing by volunteering at this museum is quite admirable, and necessary to keep to "old" west alive.

Best wishes,

I advertised a few years back for some "wall hanger shotguns".

. .  .  had three offers within a week.  (  $ 100 ea.  )   Bot 'em all.   And then got 'em all functioning !   :)

. . .  . . . one of 'em only for blanks as it has pitted Damascus barrels.

Plenty of old guns out there.   Have patience. . . . .

Volunteering at the museum is a lot of fun. I get to educate people and I also get to learn more about the old west from the people. I need the shotgun for the portion of the tour that takes place in the saloon.

I added a link to the museum in the original post.

One of my best friends and his family moved to Montrose 'bout 25 years ago. I was through there in 2005, and that's the last time I've seen them.

Time passes, new circles develop.

Rich Files, the founder of the museum was an archaeologist for many years.  He started collecting he says when he was 4. He has a fantastic collection and having it displayed in the shops and buildings just like it would have been in the 1800s is really special. Tours are suppose to take 2 hrs, but you can't see it all in that time.  If people have the time and it is not too busy I will take longer. The longest tour I have done was over 4 1/2 hrs and we still didn't cover it all.

We get a bunch of people from other countries and it is fun to show them the place.
