Rancho Roy
Wrote another article to my web site about my trials and tribulations loading and shooting the obsolete 32 COLT cartridge in a Marlin 92 rifle. Hope you enjoy it! http://rvbprecision.com
Bailey Creek,5759
I also have a Marlin in 32 . Mine will chamber 32 S&W . You have to be careful, the correct bullet for the marlin is 309/310 diameter . Most of the 32 bullets are made for the 32 mag. Which is 312. They will work more pressure, be careful. I am sure you know this. Sometimes a little reminder doesn't hurt. I like mine . Rancho Roy
You rifle must have been rechambered to 32 S&W at some point in its life. How foes it shoot?
Cypress Sam, SASS #10915
I rechambered mine to 32 S&W Long. It shoots great with 115gr bullets loaded to about 650 fps. It works with shorts too which always causes a stir because they are hard for the timer to pick up. (Always use it when the rifle is last.) Warden Callaway
I come across a Marlin 1892 every now and then. Most are reasonable priced compared to a 1894 of same age and condition. But all are marked 32 rim fire. I've looked at breach face and they have a center hole and a rim fire hole. I know they made at least some with dual firing pins. Are all of them set up that way? Jasper Agate
I just looked in the new buffalo Arms catalog and they are making a 32 heeled bullet mold. I have a small revolver in 32 colt short and will be ordering one soon. JA
Rancho Roy
Sounds good! Let us know how they perform after you cast a few. I'd gladly buy a few to try if you could help me with that.
Bailey Creek,5759
It shoots great I use clays powder in it . Shoots a little high with 100 gr bullets. Also have a 92 in 22 . Great rifles. Warden the 92 had 2 firing pins that could be changed out . To fire rim fired cases or center fired . Navy Arms ran some 32 rim fired bullets a few yrs ago . Gun Parts have firing pins.
