Sodbuster Brown
I am helping a friend search for a 45/70 lever gun for Ohio deer gun season. He has shot my M1895 guide gun and would prefer a longer barreled version but if the right deal came along it wouldn't be a deal breaker. Condition is not a huge concern as long as it functions well and shoots straight
Sedalia Dave
excellent deal posted today. If I didn't already have one it would already be mine. http://sassnet.com/forums/index.php?s=24741492af1420225ddc867ec921eef4&showtopic=240025

Sodbuster Brown
I know he doesn't want to spend that much but if I wasn't in the skb market it would buy it. Sounds like a nice one.
Doc Red Dawg, SASS #16761
I have a NIB 1895 CB, 26" octagon barrel I'd sell for $750 + S/I if he's interested. Later, Doc
Sodbuster Brown
I think he is looking to stay in the 4-500 range but thanks for the offer
Abilene Al, SASS #72248
Pard, I too have one in LNC, it has been fired four times on one stage that was either / or; ten out of your regular long gun at a shorter range or four at long range targets. Like Red Dawg I am asking the same price. I do believe I still have the box and it is taking up room in the safe. Now I use my BPCR for long range, if I choose to go that route, boy is it a lot heavier. I also have a beautiful pair of 4" AWA Colt clones, in 45LC, very smooth if anyone out there is interested and I am looking for a 45LC 18" Taylor / Uberti back-up rifle, would trade for a nice one. Hope you don't mind my little ad; I did respond to the original post topic. Good luck in your search, especially in that price range. Reuben McCoy Rankin # 34239
Didn't Mossberg or someone recently come out with a 45-70 in that price range? Was thinking I saw one at a gun show a few months ago.

Sodbuster Brown
I picked up my jm guide gun for $350 off gunbroker and I think that's why he will find one in that range. I know it will be a hard find but he is very funds limited and it doesn't hurt to try.
