Buckhorn Bud
In order to finance my new flintlock I'm reluctantly parting with my revolving carbine.Remington model 1866 (often mistakenly referred to as a model 1858 because it is based on the Remington model 1858 revolver.)Very nice gun and a lot of fun to shoot. The cylinder has been professionally machined to accept a Ted Cash capper. There is some light scoring on the cylinder. Other than that it's in excellent condition.Manufacturer: Uberti of ItalyCaliber: .44 - Black Powder OnlySights: Semi-buckhorn rear, adjustable for elevation Dovetail front with brass bead.Barrel: 18" Tapered OctagonLists for $550.oo - $700Asking $425.oo + $25 shippingPlease pass this on to anyone who might be interested. https://www.flickr.com/photos/126840422@N06/

Prairie Dawg, SASS #50329
Dam Suggs shot one in Lonesome Dove! Mine has a conversion cylinder, so I can shoot cartridges out of it. They are a hoot to shoot! Just watch where you put your off hand! --Dawg
Wolfgang, SASS #53480
In the shoot out in Good, Bad, Ugly" . . . a shooter on the roof has one . . . shoots at Tuco . . . Tuco does a "Hollywierd" swing around and shoot from the hip that drops him from the roof.
Trigger Mike
where's the best place to put your hand Prairie Dawg?
Buckhorn Bud
I use my left hand to support my right. It's similar to that of a two handed pistol hold only a lot more stable.
Prairie Dawg, SASS #50329
Yep.........My first finger of my right hand is my trigger finger. I put my second finger in the curl at the back of the trigger guard & pull the gun tight to my shoulder. My left hand is cupped over my right, supporting it. The gun is very light, and this works very well. --Dawg

Happy Jack, SASS #20451
I don't shoot mounted, but I understand they are LEGAL for mounted rifle. Not legal for Ground pounders. Pretty cool though.
