Now wearing my two hats (Secretary of Texican Rangers out of Fredericksburg and Assistant Match Director-Administration for 2015 Texas State Championship hosted by Plum Creek Shooting Society/Agarita Ranch out of Lockhart) for those of you who are coming to the convention and want some great shooting fun......the 1st Saturday of the month (January 3rd) please come out and join the Plum Creek Shooting Society for a great Saturday shoot before you head down to San Antonio for the SASS Convention. On January 10-11 as you are finishing up the SASS Convention we'd love to have you come out to shoot with the Texican Rangers at their range located between Comfort and Fredericksburg. These two clubs are the premier shooting clubs in the HEART of Texas and we'd love to have some of the Convention folks come out and join us for some great shooting and camaraderie. Dragon Hill Dave #59561 Posted December 26, 2014 Share Posted December 26, 2014 Great idea! SASS Conventioneers, come on out and shoot at Plum Creek on Saturday January 3 and shoot at member rates. Plum Creek is the home of the 2015 SASS Texas State Championship. We would love to have you come join us--great warm-up for all the events at the Convention. And when you are done with the Convention you can head a little north and west from San Antonio to the Texican Rangers, home of the 2015 Comancheria Days. Both these venues are great spots to shoot with lots of stage fronts and interesting targets and scenarios. Both have hosted State matches and are well worth the visit. Take off on Friday afternoon for a leisurely drive down to Lockhart, stay in the Best Western (or check with Delta Raider about staying at the Hotel on the range at the Agarita Ranch), shoot 6 stages Saturday, enjoy lunch with us, relax at the range Saturday afternoon, take in some excellent barbeque in Lockhart Saturday night, and have another leisurely drive home Sunday. We shoot this coming Saturday, January 3rd. We will be shooting six stages (2-7). Registration will open about 7:45 and will close at 8:30 to form posses. Late registration will be just before shooters meeting at 8:45, but no guarantees re posse assignment. Hammers down a 9:00. Lunch will follow in the pavilion.
