I gots a touch of your get up and go but I also got a governor. It jumps up and tells me "when it hurts, quit!"

For instance. When my back hurts I don't get down on my hands and knees to pick up brass.

Hey, Chickasaw, need your expertise.

I am thunking about changing out the front sight on my Marlin 44.

We are talking about the Model 94. I have a brass Bead and I want

to change it to a white or "Ivory" bead. Old eyes.

My question, without driving out the old sight and measuring it, do

you know what height the original might be?

Want to repllace it with a Marble's sight.

IF I recall right , you will need a .410 and I wouls suggest a 3/32 dia

I put a 1/16 on and it is a tad small , depending on the target color , white may not be the best call

I would stay with brass , or silver , this is just what I see the best

I will look in the parts box to get a part # , after I get back from town , have to see someone today

That is what I wanted to know. I have trouble with the brass bead. Thus the white looks better to me.

If you shoot smoke the white is a poor choice. Disappears with the first shot.

I had a BRAIN? fart , I did not ask if it is a bbl mounted sight or if it has a dovetail ramp , they are not the same height

I dawned on me , after I posted the info ,

not sure , where the mind , had wondered off to

and NOZ is correct white and b/p smoke get to hiding each other :o

Dovetailed ramp.

I measured it as best I could in the ramp and it looks to be in the .400 range but I could not tell which.

I guess I am going to have to knock it out and measure it.

Badger ,

ya should be good with the .410 in the ramp , the one that dovetailes to the bbl is the tall one , that I will have to check

seems like it is .535 ish , will have to make sure on that

I just flat out forgot about some of the 94 Marlins having a ramp , like the 336 :o

ya see what happens if ya run off memoriey ,

CB

2. Marlin, also for Missus Tyrel

3. 1873 44-40 20" octagon.

4. 2nd pair of 44-40 Uberti revolvers

5. 1883 Burgess 44-40 (Sold my first one for some stupid reason)

6. Hammered double of some sort

and I want to send my Chinese 1887 somewhere and get it running right.
