Skyfall
I recently purchase an Uberti 1885 Highwall as posted a question about sights for long range competition. No one mention the period correct tube telescopic (old school glass such as the Malcolm scope) scopes. Are the Malcom type scope legal for long range shooting events in Cowboy Action Shooting? John Boy
All depends whether or not a given long range event allows scopes or not. At our state match in NJ - No Scopes! And if allowed, a Malcolm is a period correct scope
The Original Lumpy Gritz
If scopes are allowed at all-YES. LG

Mad Dane, SASS#5536
If you put one on it, go right to the top of the line rear mount with vernier windage and elevation. I set my Uberti Highwall in 38-55 up with one of these several years ago. After about 6 months of trial and lots of error with other mounts and loading data it is deadly accurate.
