Grizzly Dave Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Ya'all don't miss the pic of the beard casket Skid made on the previous page! Everything but me, the irons, and the coolers are in the car... I think. Cart tires seem to be holding air thankfully.
Grizzly Dave Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 I just hope I don't cry too much at the service, after all the beard and I have been together for a long long time...
Tyrel Cody Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 You ought to use it for filler in some 45 BP rounds
Grizzly Dave Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Eeeegads! And folks complain about the smell of BP, just imagine what they'd say about BP and burning hiar!!!
Grizzly Dave Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Well, I reckon I should go get the trash and compost out for pickup tomorrow. Household chores don't seem to take a break just cuz I"m going shooting this weekend. Then off to the bunkhouse, gonna try and be up early. Not taking a laptop, don't want one more thing to lug around, so no vids until Sunday night or so. I will have my Kindle Fire so I can check in, and if I can figure how to right click and copy on it, might post some pics if I put them on facebook. Either that or CC can do it if'n he has a mind to. Nite all,
Calico Mary Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 uh....Grizz? FYI, I cut myself shavin' this mornin'.....

Branchwater Jack SASS #88854 Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Hot. More pasture is cut. Another couple gallons of blueberries picked
Elk Creek LeMieux Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 I have about 20 acres that's probably 6 foot tall right now. This last time was I off work all three hydraulic pumps on the tractor quit working at once. Well, the one for the remotes and the 3 point were trying to work, but the PTO and steering pumps said buuuuhbye. I suspect it's time to open the trans. That's a job I ain't looking forward to.
Tyrel Cody Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Don't let them get to ya CC, it ain't worth the extra stress.
Branchwater Jack SASS #88854 Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Yup. Now, I gotta start cipherin to figure out where this fence and gate are going to go
Branchwater Jack SASS #88854 Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 And I gotta get more gas and fuel.
Elk Creek LeMieux Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 I feel your pain, I've got fence to put up too... If we had the fence up already then the horses might keep some of the back down, but there's always been something else to take care of when I get time.
Branchwater Jack SASS #88854 Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Yup. Our new one is more to keep folk out than to keep stuff in. Farm behind us had is tractor, bushhog, and disc stolen out last week. Folk finding it easier to steal stuff than get a damn job
Elk Creek LeMieux Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Yup. Our new one is more to keep folk out than to keep stuff in. Farm behind us had is tractor, bushhog, and disc stolen out last week. Folk finding it easier to steal stuff than get a damn job That sucks! It's surprising how often stuff like that gets stolen though. I don't leave my key in it like a lot of people do, but it don't take a minute to go around the key on these older ones.
Branchwater Jack SASS #88854 Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 That's nice. Cousin across the way has an old Farmall. Ours is a newer Kubota we got in a trade. We have noticed a few odds and ends walk off. Some of it we know where it is. Just ain't the hastle of going after it right now. Hate family some times Others of it. Who knows
Elk Creek LeMieux Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 The only thing I lose is tools, when people "borrow space" in the shop. Honestly I think that makes me more angry than losing a tractor would.
Branchwater Jack SASS #88854 Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Ya. We have family that believe in the what's mine is mine, what's yours is mine mentality.
Skid Roper Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Glad you guys are in here enjoying cold drinks while I'm out sweating through my underwear trying to beat Grizz at the state shoot. Everything looks really great at the range, took in a few practice rounds this morning and retired back to the ranch to help Mrs. Roper with our two fellas. Even mowed the grass. Off to work in a while and tomorrow we're gonna shave Dave!
Elk Creek LeMieux Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 I hope y'all recognize a moment of silence for Daves beard.
Skid Roper Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 I built a casket for it and we're gonna bury it over on stage 1 at the Boot Hill. Just when you thought getting dressed up like cowboys every weekend wasn't weird enough...
