Gunner Gatlin, SASS 10274L
...they have a right to protest - it won't do any good except more of their ridiculous anti-gun statements will be revealed as false by facts/statistics. They are trying to engage in an 'emotional' battle and the American people are beginning to weed through the fallacy in their argument. GG ~ Link to comment
Brother King, SASS #69031
I'd be disappointed if it wasn't protested. I'm anxious to see how many show up this time. The momentum they are not reporting is from state after state adopting everything from "Carry everywhere (GA)" to "approved individuals (schools, etc.)" and Bundy Supporters vs. BLM ....these are images that aren't likely to be wiped from the collective national memory anytime real soon. Then you pile that on top of Bloomberg's losing politicians to recall, etc. And idiots like the Chicago police chief caught on camera after 45 shootings Easter weekend. Americans aren't stupid... they're just waiting to reload. Link to comment
Utah Bob #35998
About as effective as the PETA folks I saw protesting outside a PBR event. Link to comment
Waimea
"Gun-rights activists heralded the victory as evidence the country was on their side even though polls at the time indicated that nearly nine in 10 Americans supported the measure." LIARS However the more they say it the more it becomes real, especially to themselves. Waimea Link to comment
Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967
Amazing...: "The debate has become largely dormant on the national stage, despite more mass shootings and renewed concern over inner city violence, including in Chicago where close to 45 people were shot last weekend alone." Uh... so Chicago wants tougher gun laws? Can there BE any tougher gun laws than Chicago already has...? And then: "...Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy says that while his officers have seized 1,500 illegal guns so far this year, 'it's like running on a hamster wheel. ... We're drinking from a fire hose, seizing these guns, and people are back out on the street.' "Part of the explanation for the weekly increase in weekend shootings, authorities say, is the shift from winter to spring that apparently brings out the worst in some people." So what now, ban spring? That would make about as much sense as their other nonsense... no pun intended. Link to comment
Bad Jeemes Kelly
Chicago isn't having any more shootings than usual, but the anti's want to try and imply that it is, because they just recently got concealed carry. Never mind that not one of those shootings invcolved a person with a concealed carry permit. Link to comment
