Ninety Caliber Al, 50218
Anyone here tried this modification? My Blackhawk's have the XR3Red grip frame. That are .357's. Any info as to where I'd find the grip frames(if available) and what's needed for the swap. If anyone has done it, are you happy with the results? Mustang Gregg
:FlagAm: I got a pair from Ruger a few years ago. But I don't know if you still can. I also got a pair from Brownells. Those were made by Quallite (SP?). They were a bit oversized and took a lot of filing. Mustang Gregg

Mustang Gregg
:FlagAm: What was needed? My recollect is roll pins, grip panels, grip screws and eschestons. I reused the 5 screws that held he grip frame to the receiver. Mustang

Chili Ron
Howdy, Our pard Eightbits has just put a birds head grip on a ruger single six. It came from Brownells or Midwayusa, cant remember which. Cost about 100 for the gripframe. He is pretty good at working on shootin irons. see ktgunsmithing.com for more info. The single six is much like the Blackhawk but probably not interchangeable. Eightbits is a busy pard and does not solicit work on others guns. Hope this will help you with your project. Best CR ps-Eightbits project was just finished Feb 2014, may take a while to add to the website. You might read something else while you wait.....
