John Boy
SASS Wild Bunch™Action Shooting is a multifaceted amateur shooting sport in which contestants compete with firearms typical of those used in the taming of the Old West just after the turn of the 20th century: This is the reason why: Winchester's Model 25 was a non-takedown version of their popular Model 12 shotgun that was offered from 1949 to 1954 The same goes for the Remington Model 31 and the Ithaca 37, not produced ' just after the turn of the 20th century: IMO, the Ithaca 37 was the finest pump shotgun ever produced! Lone Dog, SASS #20401
There is NO good reason all those guns, the 25, 37 et al are NOT legal for WB. There I said it. And I meant it. No good reason. None. The more the merrier. Few years ago we were told the 93/97 would never be approved but it was. We were told the Model 12 would never ever no way be approved... Guess what, lo and behold. The 25 should be approved yesterday. Who gives a fig it wasn't produced until the latter part of the 20th century. It looks like the M12 and that is all we should care about. The 93/97 wasn't produced until the turn of the 21st century. i say if it looks old timey and has wood furniture let it play. We need all the growth we can get in WB. Silly unnecessary restrictions are a hindrance not a help.
