Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
That looks like a hard sell, GG. Especially that part about removing your hat when the National Anthem plays and when the flag goes by. Also when eating, you see so many baseball caps on the heads of non baseball players at McDonalds.
Apache Hawk 60642
My Dad said this about hat wearing. Always take yur hat off when entering a home. Always tipp yur hat to ladys when out side. If the "lady" chooses to look like a "man", do nothing. Always cover you're heart when our song is played. Leave hat on if outside. Always take hat off when entering a hospital. Always take hat off when eatting. And always put hat back on or leave on if you do not feel welcomed.

Apache Hawk 60642
Your father was wise in the ways of manners, Hawk. My Father practiced what he preached. He demanded respect from all he met and in return, he gave respect in return. If you did not respect him, then when yur in trouble, he would be the first one there with a gallon of gas and a match ! But, most of all, he was a "Man's man !" To him , all things was black and white......thus his manners !

Bama Red
Being a Veteran, when the National Anthem is played or the flag passes by, I stand and render a hand salute. Just seems very natural to me after my time in the services.

Deacon Will
I hate it when I go into a Restaurant and there are NO provisions to hang my hat. Usta be every restaurant had a hook or peg... pretty rare today.
Guest Tennessee Stud, SASS# 43634 Life
Never lay yore hat down on a bed... bad luck. ts
Bama Red
You're right. Deacon. Its gotten to where I just wear my hat in a restaurant nowadays, unless there's an empty chair to lay it on. Not my personal choice, but I'm not gonna let my fancy Brims and Trims hats get damaged because the restaurant is too stupid to realize they need hatracks or too cheap to spend the money on them.
