Dantankerous
Capt. Baylor's site indicates a recipe for reloading 12 gauge with 777 FFg. He is showing a charge of 39 grains volume. Is there an MEC or a Lee bushing that will accomdate that 777 powder measure accurately? Thanks! Dan
Adirondack Jack, SASS #53440
there's an adjustable for the MEC, or ya can do what I did, just took an old bar and kept boring it out until I got the charge I wanted. Not an elegant answer, but it worked.
John Boy
there's an adjustable for the MEC Yep, and the Multiscale Charging Bar is slicker than a greased eel in a bucket of snot! Have one on an old MEC 650. Just finished a dual bunch of reloads: Red Dot for my skeet and trap loads. Then changed the settings and loaded a case of black powder rounds for CAS. Just had to crank open the powder dial to accommodate 83gr of Fg One can charge Any Powder volume or weight by just turning the dial http://www.multiscalecharge.com/

Jefro, SASS#69420
I prefer the Mec bushings, I can have a bunch of shells loaded in the time it takes to change the adjustable charge bar back and forth. Win AA 12SL Pink wads for my 7/8oz load, Mec bushing #36, 3.1cc BP. BPI wad #072SSW for 1 1/8oz, Mec bushing #40A, 3.7cc BP. Good Luck Jefro
Randy Saint Eagle, SASS # 64903
I don't know what the volume is but I loaded 777 on a MEC using a 30 bushing, 1oz. wad and AA hulls and they crimped and shot fine. Randy
Garrett Jax, SASS #44783
Err, yeah ... I use the MEC 44A bushing, Graf's house brand 2F, AA hulls, Claybuster "Red" wad and 1oz shot ... As long as I do my part, they do theirs.
