Bart Solo Posted June 23, 2011 Share Posted June 23, 2011 Everybody wants to talk about dry firing pistols. Lots of threads. The favorite topic is can dry firing a Ruger hurt it. My conclusion is that snap caps are cheap insurance so why not use them in your pistols. Then there is what is for me the real dry firing question. How do you avoid chasing your favorite snap caps all over the room when you dry fire your rifle. Adirondack Jack, SASS #53440 Posted June 23, 2011 Share Posted June 23, 2011 File a case rim "D" shaped on one of the snap caps, and use it in the chamber of the rifle, the cutout orientd to match the extractor so it doesn't....
