Bucky Buscadero, SASS #73085 Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 Another thread got me wondering. If you wanted to name a fictional character with an everyday "normal" name, and were also of a sensitive nature that didn't want to offend anyone who ever new a real person by that name, could you come up with one? I thought a minute and made up a name I had never heard of - "Bartholomew Jones". I just Googled it and came up with over 7 million hits. So here's the challenge: Invent a name. Google it. First name that returns fewer than 500,000 hits wins. Only 1 rule (so far, but I am sure some devious minds will induce some additions): The name cannot be so over the top as to be unbelievable . Google Search brings up 7 and none related. That is a more than honorable 2nd place. Only missed first place by a post. Most unusual name I ever came across - while working as a drug store courier in college, had a customer named - Human Klump! Always wondered what the story was behind that name. Bucky
Grizzly Dave Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 Bucky, ask my family or close friends, google and I are tight. I seem to have a knock of finding things when others come up empty.

Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 I Googled a character from my books, Cherokee John Diamond. John Diamond (Without the nickname in front) has over 7,000,000 hits, but Cherokee John Diamond had fewer, and was the second entry listed with a reference to Cavanaugh: The Last Bounty, my second book. The first also didn't have "Cherokee" in front of it. I don't win, but I got major bragging rights.
