  1. He may have meant at SASS Fla St. Championship, which is in 2 weeks or so. That's how I took it, anyway.
  2. I have shot these guns, & they are spectacular! I shoot with Tony (One-Eye'd T) at least twice per month, & he's a very good friend of mine. They have almost zero holster wear. As I recall, there is a tiny bit at the end of the barrels, if any. When I shot them, there was no transition at all from being used to my max'ed out Jimmy Spurs N M Vaqueros. If I didn't have two sets of Jimmy Spurs guns, I would be very, very tempted. There is no way you wouldn't be ecstatic with them.
  3. I thought there was only one - Lassiter! Sue Render used to run one pretty well, but she's switched to a Fast Eddie SKB.
  4. Purly can shoot if he'll shoot his '97. (and, left-handed).
  5. We need some very slow Cattle Barons to sign up. And, I hope Purly doesn't see this. If I can just get my average down by 4 seconds/stage, I might have a chance at putting it on him.
  6. I assure you, we don't have any trouble hearing you.
  7. If that doesn't work out, I'm sure I'll see Scarlett soon. I'm sure she wouldn't mind holding them for you if you're going to be in the same place sometime.
  8. Do you have any cowbuds going to Fla St, Ala St, or Ga St. If so, I'll give you a pair. I really don't want to ship them.
  9. GEORGIA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP IS COMING UP FAST!! MAY 18-20 As of right now, we have 20 RV spots left with electric (30A & 50A on all sites) & water. No sewage, but there is a dump station. My contact info is on the application, so call, text, or email me & lock down your spot before they're gone. Fast Eddie is fast approaching his deadline to order the spectacular Molly's buckles, so it would be very good to get your completed app in soon to Krazy Kajun. If you haven't been to a Georgia State Championship, this one is definitely a favorite. Blackhawk Henry stages are GREAT, & much thought is given to planning stages that will be enjoyed & remembered. We have been assured that the Florida, Tennessee, & South Carolina crews will attend in force! See you there?
  10. When cowboys are selling guns, particularly pistols, I often see the statement, "FFL Must be willing to accept from individual". I don't think any of the FFL's I have used would do so. It must be a legal possibility, or there wouldn't be so many of these statements. Who knows the details on this? I haven't run into one personally when buying guns, but it'll likely happen sometime. Thanks for any info.
  11. If you prefer cut & weld, Jimmy Spurs also does fantastic work.
  12. And, you'll use slightly less TG than Clays for the same ballistics. I've been using TG since Clays went dry in about 2012 for pistol & rifle. 2.7 gr with 125gr bullet is a popular load.
  13. Yeah, I never miss. But, I know it will have to happen someday.
  14. Thanks, man! I bought one. Expensive, but I needed it. As I recall, I bought my last 8lb jug from you.
  15. Looked like it worked out pretty well for you from where I was standing. And, I was standing pretty close!
  16. Sorry I missed out on the American Select. If anybody sees some, feel free to let me know. I could use an 8 lb jug, maybe 2.
  17. Interesting! I've never seen a double trigger SKB.
  18. We have 20 campsites still available for the Ga. State Championship. If you are coming & want to camp, it would be a great idea to get your application in. Water & electric, both 30a & 50a on all sites. No sewer, but there is a dump station. And there is a shower facility. Also, as Kajun said above, Fast Eddie will be ordering buckles soon, so get your app in so you can plan to get your spectacular Molly's Buckle!
  19. Exactly! I also hate picking up hulls with any slick on 'em. After trying lots of slick stuff thru the years, my tried & true is to brush the chambers after every stage & then hit 'em with a 3x3 patch wrapped around a wire brush. This method has been working well for Ophia & me for years. When loading, I twist the hull with a dry microfiber & drop them in the EWG 6 hole checker. If they don't drop in & out easily, I drop them in the trash. I check the finished shotshells again when loading them on the belt at every stage. If they don't pass, they go in the practice pile.
